My name is Brent Lamberth and I have had the joy of working along with my wife as the Youth Pastor at First United Methodist Church in Wichita Falls, Texas since 2012.

I also had the pleasure of working for the United Methodist Publishing House as rotating writer for the LinC Youth curriculum series for nine years.

Never did I imagine becoming a youth curriculum writer. Yet over a decade into this journey, I have discovered the most valuable tool a youth pastor can possess is relevant and meaningful teaching material.

The curriculum featured on this site has all been taught (and re-taught!) to students I have ministered to over the years. My students have been invaluable in shaping the topics and questions simply through their own questions and suggestions.

My personal philosophy for writing can be encapsulated in this segment of conversation between the apostle Philip and the Ethiopian. From Acts 8:

Then Philip ran up to the chariot and heard the man reading Isaiah the prophet. “Do you understand what you are reading?” Philip asked.

“How can I,” he said, “unless someone explains it to me?” - Acts 8:30-31
