This Golden Oldie begins a new journey with one man, one family and one BIG promise. But what happens when promises are not fulfilled in the time we expect them to be?
Students will read the beginning of the Abraham story and be introduced to his wife Sarai and servant Hagar. Through their story of promises, we’ll discuss places we struggle with patience and God’s timing.
And finally, we’ll reflect on the incredible story of Hagar and be challenged to think about times in life where we have been in God’s presence.
God never breaks a promise, but He doesn’t always provide us all the details. All He asks of us is patience. Yet as we’ll witness from Abram and Sarai, sometimes having patience is easier said than done!
